Dougie Costello, the rider of the winner, Masqool (IRE), was suspended for 4 days for using his whip above the permitted level from two furlongs out.
The winner, Masqool (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Chepstow on 8 September 2022, where the gelding finished seventh of 10, beaten by 5 ¾ lengths.
James Evans' explanation that Masqool (IRE) had appreciated a step back up in trip from six furlongs to a mile was noted; the gelding was routine tested.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately one furlong after the start involving Vivency (USA), placed fourth, ridden by Connor Murtagh, Come To Pass (IRE), placed third, ridden by Jack Mitchell, and Luscifer (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Gina Mangan.
Mangan was cautioned for careless riding for allowing her mount to drift slightly left-handed, causing it to make contact with Vivency (USA), which in turn gave a bump to the free running Come To Pass (IRE).
Following the race, Jack Mitchell reported that Come To Pass (IRE), placed third, ran too free.
