A.E. Lynch, rider of Tidy Zag trained by Ray Hackett, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung very badly and was pulled up thereafter. The Stewards enquired from D.E. Mullins, rider of Tabhachtach who fell on the bend approaching the straigh. The rider reported that his mount fell when the horse in front of him collapsed in running. Having considered the report, the Stewards took no further action Katie O'Farrell, rider of Fairy Court, trained by Seamus O'Farrell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her saddle slipped and she pulled her mount up thereafter . The Stewards requested a report from A.J. McNamara, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Just Call Me, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge benefited from the fast going today and that all its previous good form was on similar ground. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered. The Stewards interviewed Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer, in relation to the late arrival of both his runners in this race. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned, who stated that one of his runners was a very difficult type to saddle which caused the delay and apologised for this. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards cautioned the trainer under Rule 32(ii) concerning his future responsibilities in this regard
