D.J. Mullins, rider of Ted Bach trained by David Kenneth Budds, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right. Rachael Blackmore, rider of Outofcologne trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount made mistakes. R. Loughran, rider of Sweet Little Lies (GB), trained by John James Feane, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount met with interference after the third last. The Stewards interviewed J.J. Slevin, rider of Ask David, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(a), in that he had used his whip in front of the saddle while held in the forehand position. Having considered his previous record, the stewards suspended him for three racedays. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Killahara Castle trained by John M.Burke was found to be lame on the left fore knee post race.
