Oaks Trial now for Alluringly
You'd have to be very happy with that and we'll go gentle now. She's a nice filly and has a great pedigree,. We'll look at an Oaks Trial now.
'Lazy' Beach takes flight in cheek-pieces
He's a lovely horse and he liked going the mile and a half, even though at Leopardstown (previously) Seamus (Heffernan, jockey) thought he tired on his first run back, rather than the trip (being unsuitable),. Obviously he stays very well and is lazy - that's why he wears the cheek-pieces. He's a nice middle distance horse, will progress with racing, and will go for one of the Derby Trials next.
Weld outsider the one to be with
The last time he ran here, he won and he went to Dubai (February 2016) and got injured. But he was always a good horse and still is a good horse and I'm delighted with him,. I thought he might need the run but he got a lovely run on him and that's his ground. I toyed with the idea of running in a good handicap hurdle at Punchestown next Friday but may stay on the Flat now. I don't really have any jump horses and he may appear back over hurdles maybe even at Galway! He could run on the Flat or over hurdles there - he's a fair horse over hurdles too.
Mullins brings it back to 2
That was easy! He loved the ground and particularly likes flat tracks. He has a huge stride and I think his jumping will come on from the experience,. He has plenty of size and will jump fences next year. They'll have plenty of fun for the summer with him. That gets me within two winners of Jamie (Codd) - Jamie is riding out of his skin but is suspended tomorrow and I have two rides so I'll have to make hay now. I have eight or ten rides against professionals until the end of the season but hopefully I'll give him a run for his money - it's going to be very hard.
Stronger David returns for a surprise win
He must have improved from last year and strengthened up. He's only a five year old and while he showed promise last year, his form tailed off at the back end of the year,.
Lyreen another for in-form Martin
He's a lovely, big, old fashioned chasing type and ran really well at Limerick the last day on heavy ground,. He is only after coming to himself in the last month or two and we always knew he wanted a trip but we didn't want to rush him too soon. He's a big baby and will be a grand three mile chaser in time and we'll leave him off for the summer now.
Just Call Me for a 25/1 winner
He loves that ground and when Barry Geraghty won on him before, he said to up him to two and a half,. The ground was too heavy for him on his last two runs and he'll run away in those races for the summer. He'll also jump a fence before the summer is finished. He had a touch of tendon trouble and Frank Berry (previous owner J.P. McManus' racing manager) asked, did I want him, and that's his first win for his new owner Henry Lappin.
