The Stewards enquired into possible interference close to the line involving Agent Of Chaos (GB), ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed second, Cook Islands, ridden by J.P. O'Brien, placed fourth and Hit It A Bomb (USA), ridden by R.L. Moore, placed first, where it appeared Agent Of Chaos (GB) ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action. R.P. Cleary, rider of S P B Lucky, trained by Tracey Collins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount met with interference in running. Gary Paul Halpin, rider of Pick Of Any trained by Ms. Sheila Lavery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost its action in the final furlong.
