Approaching the final furlong, Boardman (GB), placed fourth, edged right-handed as the winner, Fools Rush In (IRE), hung slightly left-handed causing Revich (IRE), placed third, to be momentarily short of room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Fools Rush In (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the run to the line involving Revich (IRE), placed third, ridden by Robert Tart and Titan Rock (GB), placed second, ridden by James Sullivan.
Sullivan was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed without sufficient correction causing Tart to take a check on Revich (IRE).
Rob Hornby, the rider of Fox Duty Free (IRE) had fallen on the bend leaving the home straight.
The rider was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
It was found that no other horse or rider was involved and was caused by Fox Duty Free (IRE) slipping on the bend.
Sand was applied to the bend following the race.
Following the race, Jane Elliot reported that Lincoln Park (GB), unplaced, hung right-handed throughout.
