The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Baba Buck's (FR), trained by Mrs Denise Foster, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Stewards interviewed Mr M.J. Sweeney, rider of Lurgoe (GER), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he had used his whip excessively and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency). Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended Mr. M.J. Sweeney for one raceday and ordered that he attend R.A.C.E for one day's tuition on the correct use of the whip

An I.N.H. flat race for four years old only that have not won a race under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing Weights - 11st 9lbs Fillies allowed 7lbs Riders - Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules. Professional Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules (other than Apprentices) who have not lost the right to claim the 7lb allowance under Rule 52 (iii) (up to and including 16th March) may also ride in this race.
