The Stewards interviewed R.J. Condon, rider of Carrig Rock, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, R.J. Condon accepted that he was in breach of the whip guidelines in relation to frequency. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that R.J. Condon was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended R.J. Condon for two racedays

P. Townend, rider of Cash Back (FR) trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran too free during this race.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards that have run at least three times in hurdle races up to and including 8th November 2022 Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race or hurdle races after calculation of the handicap shall carry any penalty or penalties which may be allotted by the Handicapper.
