The Raceday Stewards granted a request from Brian M. The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference at the last hurdle involving Cast A Spell, ridden by D
Meyler, placed second, and Jolie Jewel (FR), ridden by P.T. Enright, placed first, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. Meyler stated that he received a little bump but it did not effect him. P. T. Enright stated that his mount had a look at the last and went left at it. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Jolie Jewel had caused interference to Cast A Spell she did not improve her finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action.
