An enquiry was held to consider interference going into the first bend when Percy Street (GB), unplaced, ridden by Finley Marsh, interfered with Emenem (GB), unplaced, ridden by Luke Morris, who in turn interfered with Apparate (GB), unplaced, ridden by Andrea Atzeni, who in turn interfered with the winner, Calling The Wind (IRE), ridden by Pat Dobbs, who in turn interfered with Baasem (USA), placed third, ridden by Dane O’Neill.
Marsh was suspended for 4 days for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift right towards the rail when insufficiently clear carrying Morris off his intended line onto Atzeni, who in turn was carried onto Dobbs who had to take a significant check for several strides, causing O’Neill to receive pressure on the rail.
Entering the first bend, a very free-running Sexy Beast (GB), unplaced, had to be checked to avoid the heels of Island Brave (IRE), unplaced, which edged slightly right-handed, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
