The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Kodi Brown, ridden by C. Horgan, unplaced, Curroy Lady (GB), ridden by L.T. McAteer, unplaced, and Now U Have It, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, unplaced, where it appeared Now U Have It received a bump. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.A
Heffernan stated that he got a little bump but his mount was unbalanced and tiring at the time. C. Horgan stated that his mount got close to heels and ducked left. However, on further questioning he accepted that he manoeuvred left. L.T. McAteer stated that his mount lugged left but felt he didn't cause any interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found C. Horgan was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard (second offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended him for four racedays.
