The Veterinary Officer reported that Hurricane Helen (GB) was grey and not brown as published in the race card.
Lady Monica (GB) wore earplugs throughout the race.
Prior to the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Imperial Eight (IRE) had a slight swelling on its near hind below the stifle.
Having examined the filly prior to going to the start, Imperial Eight (IRE) was deemed fit to race.
The winner, Finery (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Nottingham on 13 August 2021, where the filly finished eight of eight runners, beaten by 14 lengths.
Michael Appleby’s explanation that Finery (GB) was suited by the step back up in trip from 5 furlongs to 1 mile, and benefited from the first time application of a hood was noted.
Following the race, Andrea Atzeni reported that Mashkoorah (IRE), unplaced, stopped quickly and Oisin Murphy reported that Asamosa (USA), unplaced, also stopped quickly.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of both filly’s failed to reveal any abnormalities.
