Permission was given for Zeyzoun (FR) to go early to post and be mounted in the chute.
Saffie Osborne, the rider of Zeyzoun (FR), was unseated on the approach to the first bend.
Marco Ghiani, the rider of Maykir (GB), was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, but Osborne was unable to be interviewed owing to her injuries.
Ghiani was suspended for 10 days for careless riding as he had manoeuvred right-handed towards the rail when insufficiently clear, causing Zeyzoun (FR) to clip heels and unseat Osborne.
It was noted that Mr Top Hat (GB), placed eighth; Grey Fox (IRE), placed sixth and Moosmee (IRE), unplaced, were all hampered by the loose Zeyzoun (FR) approaching the first bend.
Following the race, Nicola Currie reported that Arctic Flower (IRE), unplaced, stopped quickly.
