The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Robin Scherbatsky, trained by M.F.Morris, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Stewards enquired into possible interference on the final bend and again between the final hurdle and the winning post involving Mr Caplan, ridden by K.M. Donoghue, placed first and Quirt Evans, ridden by S.W
Flanagan, placed second, where it appeared that interference may have taken place. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, S. Flanagan stated that his mount was intimidated off the final bend and later on from the final hurdle he felt that he was receiving pressure from Mr Caplan. K.M. Donoghue stated that his mount ran around at the final bend but without causing interference and later on from the final hurdle he had kept straight and received interference from Quirt Evans which was lying in on his mount. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings and took no further action. Acting Stewards Mr. M. Hickey (Chairman) and Ms. M. Osbourne were unavoidably absent for this race and Mr. V. Connolly acted as the Chairman. Mr. Michael Murphy was appointed as a deputy onto the panel of Acting Stewards for this race.
The Authorised representative for M.F.Morris, trainer of Robin Scherbatsky, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that their charge was showing signs that she may be coming into season post race
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Timeaday trained by Alan Donoghue was noted to have blood at the nostrils post race.
