The Stewards interviewed Emma Twomey, rider of Accidental Rebel (GB), concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that she was in breach of the regulation and apologised for her actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Emma Twomey was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency. Having considered Emma Twomey's record in this regard the Stewards cautioned her on this occasion
The Stewards interviewed Miss P. Elvin, rider of Galon De Vauzelle (FR), concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Miss. P. Elvin was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency. Having considered Miss. P. Elvin's record in this regard the Stewards suspended Miss. P. Elvin for three racedays.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards (109 = 11st 12lbs) Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 11st 12lbs and the minimum weight shall not be less than 9st 12lbs Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 5lb extra for each hurdle race won. Riders - 1. Lady Riders who hold a Licence under I.N.H.S. Rules who have not lost the right to claim an allowance under Rule 52 (iii) (up to and including 12th June) 2. Lady Riders who hold a Licence under National Hunt Rules to ride in hurdle races issued by any Recognised Turf Authority who have not ridden more than 60 winners (up to and including 12th June) 3. Lady Riders who hold a Category ''C'' Permit to ride under I.N.H.S. Rules 4. Lady Riders who hold a Permit to ride in hurdle races against Professional Riders issued by any other Recognised Turf Authority. The Stewards of the I.N.H.S. Committee have suspended the relevant parts of Rule 135 for the purposes of this race.
