Running down the back straight, the pace slackened markedly, resulting in the winner, Ultramarine (IRE), running very keenly, which in turn, resulted in Triggered (IRE), unplaced, becoming set alight and having to be restrained.
An enquiry was held to consider interference 3 furlongs out, involving the winner, Ultramarine (IRE), ridden by Alexandra McDonnell, Exponista (GB), unplaced, ridden by Brandon Wilkie and Roaring Ralph (GB), unplaced, ridden by P J McDonald.
