The Stewards requested a report from G.M.Lyons, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Viadera (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. G.M. Lyons reported that his charge's form was below par earlier in the season, and that today's ground and distance may have suited his charge better and brought about an improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
