Permission was given for Al Muffrih (IRE) to wear a red hood in the preliminaries which was removed at the start, and for the gelding to go to post early.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 3 furlongs out when Al Muffrih (IRE), placed second, ridden by Ben Curtis, interfered with Groveman (GB), unplaced, ridden by Jack Garritty.
Curtis was cautioned for careless riding as he had angled left for a run when insufficiently clear causing Garritty to take a slight check.
Inside the final furlong, the winner Spanish Archer (FR) hung right moving Al Muffrih (IRE), placed second, slightly off its intended line, which in turn moved The Trader (IRE), placed third, off its intended line.
However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Spanish Archer (FR).
Following the race, David Allan reported Glencadam Glory (GB), unplaced, ran too free.
