Approaching 2 furlongs out, the winner, KITTEN’S DREAM hung sharply left-handed despite the rider's best efforts to correct the colt, badly hampering Ashington (GB), placed fourth, which in turn caused Sudona (GB), placed second, to be tightened for room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of KITTEN’S DREAM.
The winner, KITTEN’S DREAM, appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Pontefract on 14 August 2020 where the colt finished last of the five runners, beaten by 29 lengths.
It was noted that the representative of Richard Fahey could offer no explanation for KITTEN’S DREAM’s improved form.
