The Raceday Stewards interviewed K.G. Kennedy, rider of Joven De Corazon, concerning his use of the whip in the home straight of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found K.G. Kennedy was in breach of R.10.3(b)(unnecessary hitting of a horse after its chance of winning or being placed are gone) and considering his record in this regard they suspended him for four racedays
C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Inchiquin Maid, trained by David Kenneth Budds, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left throughout
Amy Jo Hayes, rider of Born Ruthless, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount never travelled.
