An enquiry was held into the circumstances surrounding a member of the ground staff being on the track when the runners were in the back straight.
Ryan Moore, the rider of the winner, Changingoftheguard (IRE), and the Clerk of the Course were interviewed.
The Stewards noted the Clerk of the Course’s explanation that the member of ground staff had entered the track to collect an item of rubbish on the racing line on his own accord.
The Clerk of the Course further explained that the current protocol states that all ground staff are not allowed to enter the track after the horses have left the Parade Ring and that going forward all ground staff will be reminded of these protocols.
Following the race, S P C Woods reported that Savvy Victory (IRE), placed sixth, was unsuited by the going, which was officially described as Good to Firm, and would prefer more ease in the ground.
