An enquiry was held to consider interference throughout the final furlong when Cadeau D'or (FR), placed third, ridden by Rob Hornby, interfered with the winner, Second Slip (IRE), ridden by George Wood.
Hornby was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift left- handed for a prolonged period without sufficient correction, carrying Second Slip (IRE) off its intended line.
Following the race, Daniel Muscutt reported that Riqaaby (USA), unplaced, ran too freely, Rob Hornby reported that Cadeau D'or (FR), which started second favourite and finished third, hung left-handed and Kieran Shoemark reported that Irene's Dream (GB), placed fourth, hung badly left-handed on the run to the line.
