The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Tokenomics (FR), ridden by L.T
McAteer, placed third, and September Leaves, ridden by S. Foley, placed sixth, where it appeared S. Foley had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Foley stated that his mount is not the most straightforward type. He further added that Tokenomics has quickened past him, his mount saw him coming and backed out. L.T. McAteer stated that he rolled slightly off the horses heels in front of him and thought he was gone clear of September Leaves at the time. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found L.T. McAteer was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays.
