Leaving the stalls, Cheshire Dancer (IRE), placed third, jumped right-handed inconveniencing Sovereign Queen (GB), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Cheshire Dancer (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference rounding the first bend involving Cheshire Dancer (IRE), placed third, ridden by Jefferson Smith and Surging Tide (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Franny Norton.
The interference was found to be accidental as Cheshire Dancer (IRE) edged momentarily left- handed, before being corrected, causing Surging Tide (IRE) to be steadied when becoming short for room.
Following the race, Andrea Atzeni reported that Sovereign Queen (GB), unplaced, ran green.
