Curragh Sat, 31st Aug, 2024  Rappell We thought about leaving him off after his last win. I was kicking myself as I had him entered here but went to Cork because it was three-year-old only,. I wanted to run him once here as I thought he was a horse that would suit the place, I'm glad I did now. I think he lost his stick but once they are responding they don't need it. He doesn't kill himself in front by the looks of it, the last furlong looked like coming up the Cheltenham hill!. We might have one more go with him. I think he'll be a better horse next year, we'll either put him in the sales or keep him ourselves for next year.

Down Royal Fri, 31st May, 2024  Cornahilt Soldier I fancied her last night (in Fairyhouse) and she didn't get much luck in-running. I was disappointed coming home last night. I was confident in her today, she ate up and there wasn't a bother on her. She had a spring in her step this morning. We'll see now, the handicapper will probably put her out of the '65' bracket, but she showed she probably can progress on her run last night.

Limerick Thu, 16th May, 2024  Alabama Calling she had a few runs in handicaps and is getting progressively better. She is still quite raw and I don't know whether she liked that ground (soft to heavy) or not but I doubt it. She should progress away as the summer goes along. When the race came up, it looked tailor made for her and her mares' allowance brought her up to 71. She is very genuine, will be better on better ground and I wouldn't be stepping her up too much in distance. my whole yard is pretty much all MRC International (Dubai-based owners) now and they are all running really well. I have had a good few nice two-year-olds this year and some of last year's three-year-olds are nice as well. We have a good few runners over the next week or so and Jakajaro runs in the Group 3 Lacken Stakes on Sunday. He came out of his recent run in Ascot really well and while taking on Con's (Marnane, brother) Givemethebeatboys will be difficult, he is a pretty good horse.
