The Stewards fined G.T.Lynch, trainer, ?350 for lodging a passport in respect of Ashqar, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Ashqar in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90
The Stewards received a report from Ms. Avena O'Keeffe , Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that W.T. Byrne, rider of Pointsevenk, trained by W.J. Martin, presented himself to weight out 2lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he hadn't flagged the overweight due to an oversight. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed the rider to carry the overweight on this occasion but were satisfied that he was in breach of Rule 198 (vii)(a) and having taken his record into account imposed a fine of ?150
W.M. Lordan, rider of Havana Breeze, trained by Miss Hilary McLoughlin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung right in the straight.
