Formscan - In a mouth-watering contest where the winners of the English, Irish and French Guineas look poised to serve up one of the races of the week, NOTABLE SPEECH can put down a marker as the best three-year-old miler around. Charlie Appleby's charge impressed with the manner of his victory in the 2000 Guineas, making smooth headway from the rear before quickening away from the field with almost push-button acceleration, and the unbeaten son of Dubawi is hard to oppose on that evidence. Rosallion, who finished second to the selection at Newmarket, was last seen scoring gamely in the Irish 2,000 Guineas and warrants the utmost respect in a bid to avenge his Newmarket defeat. A Group 1 winner in the National Stakes, Henry Longfellow is surely capable of better than when finishing a luckless eighth at Longchamp behind Metropolitan.

Quotes on Henry Longfellow (IRE)
the pedigree of this horse is second to none. She (Minding) was the best mare we ever trained and by Dubawi was the best out-cross that she could go to. He travels and he quickens and that is very difficult for other horses to handle. We knew this horse (Henry Longfellow) had run a couple of weeks ago and his mam handled the ground no problem. Everyone has been very happy with him and he looks a very special horse. His mam won over a mile, a mile and a quarter and a mile and a half. It’s very possible (that could be his last run this season) but we’ll see. City Of Troy hadn’t run for a good while and was going to improve from the run. Sometimes in that ground they can have a hard time. He would die on his feet for you today and we didn’t want to do that to him once the ground turned. I had said to the lads that we wouldn’t run City Of Troy on soft ground. We took a chance in Newmarket and got away with it. He’s too beautiful a mover. Ryan was adamant that it was closer to soft than good to yielding. After Henry Longfellow (IRE) finished 1st at Curragh on Sun, 10th Sep 2023 7f Flat Good

Quotes on Rosallion (IRE)
I thought he (Haatem) would be hard beat here today, so I knew when I got to him he had just done everything right for himself and he has dragged me to the line, so he has had to work hard to get by him. My lad can get a bit generous if you put him in a position where he has to be competitive, so the only thing I could do was take (him) out of it. I was confident I was going to get him (Haatem), especially that last bit where he is climbing all the time. Hopefully, they both come out of it okay. No doubt (huge training performance by Richard Hannon), he has rolled the dice on a few occasions and he has come up on top. After the Guineas, he said he really wanted to come here and it has paid off again. He is absolutely brilliant to ride for, like his father before him. We work really well together because he doesn't tell me anything! I think his view is that he has done the training and the riding is completely up to me. If I get it wrong, don't get me wrong, my head is on the chopping block!. Fingers crossed, hopefully Ascot is the next step. I had my first ride here on South Wind Rising (17/4/05) and it is nice to come back with a favourite's chance and deliver. I'm delighted, both of them have run a super race. Rosallion was a bit keen early and Haatem is such a brave horse, he's run such a lovely race and I've never known a horse to have as many supporters as he has. He probably didn't deserve to get beat, but his day will come. Rosallion, I'm absolutely delighted with him,After Rosallion (IRE) finished 1st at Curragh on Sat, 25th May 2024 1m Flat Good

Quotes on Unquestionable (FR)
We're delighted with him. We felt he'd appreciate the step up, it was big ask to throw him in over five first time in a Stakes race, he's going to get even further than this probably. Ryan was very happy with him. He went to the line very strong. It's very hard to beat a run and he had a good run. He looks like a Coventry horse. After Unquestionable (FR) finished 1st at Curragh on Sat, 27th May 2023 6f Flat Maiden Good
