FormscanBy Michael Graham - This is a drop in class for EASTERN WIND who loves this track. Two of her three career victories have come in Leopardstown (under jockey James Ryan) and if she is going to bounce back to winning ways, it should be here. Quick ground holds no fears for Oriental Dancer who could put her best foot forward on her Irish turf debut. Chestnutter won this race last year and, although she hasn't been at her best this season, Jamie Powell's 3lb claim has her on a competitive mark so a big run wouldn't be surprising. Notforalongtime's best performances have been on an all-weather surface, but perhaps fast ground will see a better display on turf.

She did it nicely, dropping back to seven didn't do her any harm anyway,. I'm delighted with her, after getting pipped last week (headed close home when third here) it's great to get back and get a win. She was able to open them up off the bend a bit. It's a long way up that straight and there is always something coming from behind. She was game, she showed plenty of boot over the seven. Probably the ease in the ground over seven helped. James rides very well, he's very strong and is good at pacing them. I'm not sure where we'll go. I thought she was beaten and I said to Derville (his wife) 'we're beat a head'. I was surprised they called a photo, but when we got out of the lift someone said 'well done' to me!. it was her last try - we took the blinkers, the tongue-tie, cross noseband and earplugs off her and I said 'go on on your own and we'll see what happens'. We had brought her to Limerick last week but I took her out because the ground went too soft, I said because it was her last run we'd make sure she had the ground she likes. Hopefully we'll be able to go and run her again, she can't go up too much for that. She's starting off a low base so she can try again.
