FormscanBy John O'Riordan - Beaten less than six lengths in a Grade 2 hurdle on his jumping debut, SPORTING GLORY can strike on his first start for trainer Gordon Elliott. The Fame And Glory gelding is very lightly raced for an eight-year-old, having had just the three bumper runs prior to his first foray over hurdles. This looks a nice opportunity to shed his maiden status before stepping back up in class. Addragoole rates the main danger on his return to flights. Runner-up on his racecourse debut in a Down Royal maiden hurdle in March, the form of that race has worked out well. Twice second in bumpers subsequently, the gelding should go close. The locally trained Dream Shaper holds each-way claims.
