FormscanBy Alan Magee - PARTY DRESS is a rare runner over hurdles for Willie McCreery and she got off the mark when beating Jeaniemacaroney (won since over hurdles) on her reappearance in a 1m1f Tipperary maiden in May. The selection subsequently ran well in a 1m7f Leopardstown handicap and may have more scope for improvement than another hurdle newcomer Yokkell. She’s won five times on the Flat including three victories at Dundalk last winter and has held her form well since on turf. Born In Purple has filled the runner-up spot on all three hurdle starts including when reappearing at Downpatrick while Picture Of You is another to consider.

She likes Gowran. She was third last time at Dundalk and we said we'd stick her in here today when we saw this race. She's been a good old servant and we've always thought a bit of her. When she won here last year, we got a 14lb rise and that just stopped her for a while. She handled Dundalk and we were worried about it being that bit softer here but she handled it well. Yokkell is super and would nearly make you emotional. She's just very genuine and very tough. She's a winner. A mile-and-a-half is probably her trip and that extended 1m2f is just long enough. She doesn't owe us anything but you wouldn't know where she could end up on Good Friday, maybe at Newcastle. Hopefully, she can't be hit too hard by the handicapper. Siobhan gets on very well with her and gave her a peach of a ride just in behind the leaders. I think she knew from halfway down the straight she was going to get up.
