The Stewards enquired into an incident over two furlongs from the finish involving Fairy Tree, ridden by Mr A.T

Feeney, placed second and Malina Girl, ridden by Mr J. Dunne, placed third, where it appeared that Fairy Tree made an outward manoeuvre and caused interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence Mr J. Dunne stated that he was going for a gap when Fairy Tree came out and shut out his mount. Mr A.T. Feeney stated that his mount had ducked away from DiceBox which caused him to move into the path of Malina Girl. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr A.T. Feeney had caused the incident by riding carelessly, this being a breach of Rule 214. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Mr A.T. Feeney for three racedays

The Stewards interviewed Mr A.T. Feeney, rider of Fairy Tree, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, Mr A.T. Feeney stated that he was concentrating on keeping his mount straight and lost count on his use of the whip. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr A.T. Feeney was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Mr A.T. Feeney for two racedays

The Stewards received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Starter, Mr J.R. Banahan, that Mr J.C

McMahon, rider of Saved By The River, Mr G. Abbas, rider of Soldier Solid, Mr D. O'Connor, rider of Bambeano, Mr A.T. Feeney, rider of Fairy Tree, Mr J. Dunne, rider of Malina Girl and Mr S.J.P. Baragry, rider of Whiskey Lady had been clearly briefed of the new starting procedures and failed to obey his instruction to walk. This resulted in a false start being called. Evidence was heard from the starter and riders concerned. The riders admitted that they had been briefed by Mr Banahan of the new starting procedure and in their evidence admitted that they had broken into a canter without being requested to do so. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that all riders were in breach of Rule 208 and cautioned each person on this occasion
