Thore Hammer Hansen, the rider of London Rock (IRE), was slow to remove the blindfold resulting in his horse being slow to start.
The rider and the Starter were interviewed and shown recordings of the incident; being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Hammer Hansen was offered the opportunity to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
Hammer Hansen’s explanation that the blind got stuck in the bridle meaning it took two attempts to remove it was noted.
