We were weighted to beat the favourite (Shoot To Kill) with Skontonovski and Comfort Line. Nikki Swango was weighted to beat the whole lot of them, so I thought she was the best one in, in the race. I wasn't expecting a 1-2-3 now to be honest, but it was great. I had one in Laytown one day and I think it is the only one I can remember. The Raceday Stewards granted a request from Sean Davis, trainer of Sayifyouwill (GB), for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification by an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(i)

The Raceday Stewards interviewed S.P. Davis, rider of Sayifyouwill (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. He further stated that he used his whip numerous times in front of the saddle as he couldn't bring his hand behind due to the horse beside him. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that S.P. Davis was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and R.10.3(a) by striking his mount in front of the saddle while the whip is in the forehand position. Having considered his clean record in both these regards, they suspended him for five racedays.
