The winner, KATIE’S KITTEN, appeared to show an improvement in form compared with its previous run at Leicester on 3 July 2021, where the filly finished eighth of thirteen, beaten 7¾ lengths.
Michael Appleby’s representative explained that KATIE’S KITTEN was suited by being able to dominate on this occasion.
The filly was routine tested.
Following the race, George Rooke reported that Blazer Two (GB), placed fourth, raced awkwardly around the bend; Faye McManoman reported that Golden Cluster (GB), placed fifth, ran too free and Callum Shepherd reported that Lowndes Square (IRE), placed seventh, was unsuited by the going, which was officially described as Good on this occasion, and in his opinion was riding loose after rainfall.
