The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Allaho (FR), ridden by Mr P.W
Mullins and Two Shoe Tom, ridden by Mr R. Deegan, where it appeared that Allaho ran short of room and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr. R. Deegan was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended Mr. R. Deegan for 2 racedays
Mr. R. Ryan, Chairman, absented himself from this enquiry which was chaired by Mr. J.P. Byrne
The Stewards interviewed Mr F. Maguire, rider of Exit Poll, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr. F. Maguire was in breach of Regulation 10. 3 (f) in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency. Having considered his previous record in this regard, the Stewards suspended Mr. F. Maguire for 2 racedays
