The Stewards enquired into an incident on the approach to the final hurdle involving Brogine, ridden by J.J. Slevin and Yenillik, ridden by K.M. Donoghue, where it appeared that Yenillik edged over onto Brogine and made contact. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, J.J. Slevin stated that he rode wide because of the watered ground and jumped the second last flight at the fourth panel before maintaining a straight line to the final hurdle which had one less panel. K.M. Donoghue stated that he rode wider at the second last hurdle to jump the fifth panel and on the approach to the final hurdle he found his mount was heading for the outside panel as a result of a lesser width of hurdle. His mount was green and looking at the wing, so he checked him to keep him straight but he overreacted and edged left. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations and they took no further action
C.D. Maxwell, rider of Top Basanta trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Top Basanta, trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at the nostrils post race
