The Raceday Stewards interviewed S.B. Kelly, rider of Jazzy Dancer, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. S.B. Kelly stated that he was there with a winning chance and felt his mount was responding to his urgings but accepted he was in breach of R 10.Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found S.B. Kelly in breach of R 10.3(g)(frequency) and having taken his previous record into account they cautioned him on this occision
