The Stewards enquired into two incidents in this race involving Lord Justice, ridden by D. O'Brien, unplaced, Monocle (GB), ridden by P.J. Smullen, unplaced , Power Struggle, ridden by F.M. Berry, unplaced and Murmuration, ridden by K.J. Manning, unplaced. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned,in the presence of Mr. Edward Harty, trainer, who accompanied D.O'Brien. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that both incidents were accidental and took no further action. W.J. Lee, rider of Evening Hush trained by K.J. Condon, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount reared up leaving the stalls. Gary Paul Halpin, rider of Remarkable Lady trained by H.Rogers, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his saddle slipped in running.
