An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference on the run to the line when the winner Magical Rhythms (USA), ridden by Frankie Dettori, interfered with Lady Bowthorpe (GB), placed second, ridden by Kieran Shoemark.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved MAGICAL RHYTHM (USA)’s placing in that the interference was just four strides from the line, was of a minimal nature and the filly appeared to be finishing faster than Lady Bowthorpe (GB), to win by a neck.
Dettori was cautioned for careless riding for allowing his mount to drift slightly right-handed, without timely correction, making contact with Lady Bowthorpe (GB).
Ryan Moore, the rider of CLARA PETERS, placed third, was interviewed but was found not to be involved in the interference.
Following the race, Frankie Dettori reported that the winner Magical Rhythms (USA), hung right- handed on the run to the line.
