The Stewards requested a report from J. S. Bolger, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Mccabe, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Ger Flynn, Authorised Representative for J. S. Bolger, stated that today was the first time that his charge had jumped smartly and subsequently got things his own way in front and that this, coupled with the much better ground today, had helped to bring about the improvement in form when compared to its most recent runs.
