An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching ½ furlong out when Mitigator (GB), placed second, ridden by Morgan Cole, interfered with the winner, Purgatory (GB), ridden by Pat Cosgrave.
Being a 7lb claimer, Cole was accompanied in the enquiry by the trainer.
Cole was suspended for 6 days for careless riding as she allowed her mount to drift left-handed for a considerable amount of time without any correction causing a significant bump to Purgatory (GB) resulting in Mitigator (GB) and Purgatory (GB) stumbling and become unbalanced.
Following the race, Thore Hammer Hansen reported that Letsbe Avenue, placed third, was slowly away and Kieren Fox reported that Professor (GB), placed fourth, was slowly away.
