Having been checked by the Veterinary Surgeon, the filly was deemed fit to race.
The Stewards noted that a single section of a plastic upright on the wing at the cross hurdle had become dislodged and was laid at a right angle to the rest of the wing as the runners passed during this race.
Having reviewed footage of the runners going to post, at which time the upright wing was correctly intact, and having consulted with the Clerk of Course who explained that all pre-race checks had been carried out in accordance with the General Instructions, the Stewards were satisfied that the upright section of rail had only become dislodged after the runners had started the race, and therefore no further action was taken.
