However, having reviewed recordings of the false start, the Starters were satisfied that no riders should be reported for contravening the starting procedures.
The apparent improvement in form of the winner, The Midwife (IRE), which had never previously been placed, was considered.
Grace Harris explained that the mare may have appreciated the better ground on this occasion, officially described as Good to Soft, Good in Places.
