Permission was given for Mondammej (GB) to go early to post wearing a red hood; for Night On Earth (IRE) to wear a red hood to post; for Looking For Lynda (IRE) to be mounted on the chute.
Looking For Lynda (IRE) arrived at the start with a small amount of blood on its left-fore leg.
Having been checked by the Veterinary Surgeon, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
The Starter reported that Moon Flight (IRE) refused to enter in the stalls and withdrawn at 2:15pm.
Linda Perratt was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
Night On Earth (IRE), drawn 4, anticipated the start and accelerated the gate at the same moment as the race had been started.
Being satisfied that it was not caused through a faulty action of the starting stalls, no further action was taken.
Approaching the 4 furlong pole, the free running Mondammej (GB), unplaced, edged right-handed making contact with Clearpoint (GB), placed fourth, on a number occasions, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, James Sullivan reported that Jojo Rabbit (GB), unplaced, was denied a clear run in the closing stages; Oisin Murphy reported that Match Play (GB), unplaced, ran too freely.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Lihou (GB) (IRE), placed fifth, lost both front shoes.
