Just inside the final 2 furlongs, Furnicoe (IRE), placed second, shifted quickly left-handed moving Ladywantaway (IRE), placed fifth, off its intended line, which in turn caused Turbo Tiger (IRE), unplaced, to also be moved off its line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Furnicoe (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference in the final furlong between Furnicoe (IRE), placed second, ridden by Kevin Stott; Lady Ursula (IRE), placed third, ridden by Daniel Muscutt and Doctor Mozart (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Callum Shepherd.
The Stewards considered that the interference was accidental, and that the interference had not improved Lady Ursula (IRE) or Furnicoe (IRE)'s placings as Lady Ursula (IRE) initially edged marginally right- handed, before being corrected by its rider, giving a slight bump to Furnicoe (IRE), which in turn made contact with Doctor Mozart (IRE), which resulted in that gelding shifting right-handed and becoming unbalanced as a result.
The Stewards were of the opinion that the interference caused to Doctor Mozart (IRE) was less than the margins between the runners at the line and ordered the placings to remain unaltered.
Following the race, Mark Winn reported that South Dakota Sioux (IRE), unplaced, was restless in the stalls and slowly away.
Callum Shepard reported that Doctor Mozart (IRE), placed fourth, hung left- handed.
