The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend turning into the back straight involving Parnell One, ridden by J.G. Gilligan, and Aegirine, ridden by R.J. Condon where it appeared that Parnell One checked on that bend when racing close to the running rail. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.G. Gilligan stated that his mount was hanging away from the bend and he was trying to get him back tight to the running rail. R.J. Condon stated that he was unaware of any incident. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action. They did, however, as a result of the evidence given by J.G. Gilligan, advise him of his obligation to comply with Rule 213 by reporting anything at first instance that might have affected the running of his horse.
