The Raceday Stewards received a report from Ms. A. O'Keeffe, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that M. Hamill, rider of Broomfield Gale, weighed in at 1.4 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he could not explain the reason for the discrepancy in the weights. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that M. Hamill was in breach of Rule 231(iii) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they cautioned him on this occasion
