Following the race, Charlie Deutsch reported that Ballingers Corner (IRE), which started favourite and finished unplaced, ran too free in the early stages of the race, Tom Bellamy reported that Merry Mistress (IRE), placed fourth, was never travelling, and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the mare failed to reveal any abnormalities.
The Veterinary Officer further reported that Penny Mallow (FR), unplaced, bled from the nose.
