Approximately one furlong out, the winner, EVE’S BOY, edged slightly left-handed as Bowen Island (IRE), placed third, drifted marginally right-handed, causing Catalyse (IRE), placed second, to be moved off its intended line which in turned caused Legend Forever (GB), placed fifth, to be short of room.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of EVE’S BOY or Bowen Island (IRE).
