The Stewards interviewed Mr A.P. Fahey, rider of Ishyaboi, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(b) in that he had continued to use his whip after his chance of winning or being placed had clearly gone. Having considered his previous record in this regard, the Stewards suspended Mr. A.P. Fahey for 2 racedays and advised him to familiarise himself with the rules in relation to use of the whip
